Kabili listened closely.
He guessed that did make sense. Simba had only set perameters away from his territory. Otherwise he hadn’t given much thought to saying anywhere that was dangerous, which there didn’t seem to be. “That’s cool. And yeah dad mentioned the night thing,” he explained. “Which I get. I mean there are night predators out here I’m sure.”
Stopping to find a good bowl shaped rock, he grinned. “This will work. Maybe a branch to mix em.” He muttered.

The badger nodded, "Yeah, and there's no one to help you if you need it, even the Lion Guard sleeps at night!
Bunga grinned, "Way ahead of ya!" he said, handing Kabili a handful of small branches, of somewhat different sizes. "What are you going to do with that rock?"

The lion guard did most certainly sleep at night. Or at least he hoped it was Kion that slept with them, and not some random cub. “Yeah, I should know. I have to compete with him and Kiara for the best spot in the huddle,” he joked. Though he assumed Bunga would be surprised he was in that. “Not that I’m complaining. It helps to have the Roar of the Elders paw on your head sometimes.” He joked again.
When he asked what He was doing with the rock Kabili grinned ear to ear. “Making a smoothie,” he said as he began to work to crush down the fruit into it. “I mean it’s not as good as what it would be in my neck of the woods. But still.”

Bunga laughed, "Do you ever win? Or are you the undercat?" he asked, he wasn't the type to be surprised, he didn't have expectations. He just did things, after all. Always having a good time and letting things go as they want to. "Does he ever have a Yawn of the Elders? Imagine all the lions going flying!." he said, doing a backflip around as he thought of that... he really had energy.
"A smoothie?" he asked simply, doing a few front-flips to get back up close, and check out what Kabili was doing.

The undercat? He snorted that was actually a pretty good one. Putting his hands on his hips he shook his head. “I mean once in a while I win. They just got power over me kinda,” he then added with a laugh. “Oh, he doesn’t have a yawn of the elders. But he sure snores loud enough he should be waking up the whole valley.” He joked.
“Yeah! It’s like a mixture of fruits. Usually I’d have milk to make it creamier,” he explained honestly as he continued to work. “But it still tastes pretty good without it.” He said as he finally finished his off but in his opinion tasty concoction. Holding it up. “Here give it a taste.”

Bunga laughed, "I'll call that the Snore of the Elders!". The badger never stopped being excited. "Milk?" he stared. "Gross... of all things Bunga thought milk was gross? Well, at least once you weren't a baby. "You don't mean the stuff that mothers give their babies do you?" he stuck his tongue out.
Thankfully this batch had no milk, so he was all but too eager to eat it! "Mm... not bad..." he said, "In fact, it's great!" he smiled, and went for taking the bowl from Kabili, if successful helping himself to another bite, or three... "So good!"

The snore of the elders ha! Good one!
Kabili chuckled a little as the kid mentioned how mothers gave it to their babies. Honestly, that was one way of putting it but at some time or another they’d all been on the stuff. That said... “Not the same kind of milk used for nursing babies,” he corrected. “Dairy milk. It comes from this thing called a cow and it’s actually good for us... Supposedly.”
He did grin a little when the kid liked it though. Honestly, he couldn’t imagine anyone not wanting some. “It’s really good right? My mom used to make them all the time. Errr my bio mom I mean.” He explained. “It was the only way she’d get me to eat fruit when I was little.”
Thoughtfully; he admitted. “Y’know I’m glad I came out here today,” he explained. “I needed a little fun, y’know? This whole presentation has me kinda nervous.”

Bunga blinked, "Don't cows have cow-babies?" he was quite perturbed at that. "I don't know if I ever had milk. My mom did... leave me after all." he shrugged, "Good stuff! he grinned, "If you ever need fun, I'm your badger!" he said, and went for a side-hug, "Even if you don't need it I might bring some!"
"And I'll hunt grubs all you want for more of this!" he offered, finishing off the bowl!

Kabili frowned.
He guessed that was true. And he did feel greatly for Bunga, even if he was happy. He gave a small smile and then added. “It’s hard to know that stuff sometimes, huh?” He asked. “My dad left when I was still a baby. I don’t even remember what it was like to have one. My only memories of that are Simba and they’re new.” He admitted.
Wait? Did cow babies drink from the utter? The thought kind of made him give a grossed out face. “Uhhh good point maybe I should forget the milk thing.” He chuckled nervously.
He did laugh a little thought about hunting grubs. He’d definitely pass at least on that one. “Don’t sweat it, I’m happy to make more any time. It’s fun making food, sometimes,” he admitted. “I don’t think I’ve cooked for myself really before I got here.”

Bunga nodded, "Yeah, but my uncles gave me great memories instead!" he didn't let it get him down, clearly. "Guess that means you won't forget those embarrassing childhood stories, right?" he suggested.
He nodded, "I mean, I'm not a girl but you can ask one of them! I'll ask them for you!" he said, far too eager to be trusted to phrase that well.
He blinked, "Did what now?" Bunga asked as Kabili said the word cooked.

That was true! It was all about the memories made rather than what they may have lost. But... Embarrassing childhood memories? Oh man! He hadn’t thought about that yet - but it was true. “Oh god, mom and dad probably have a treasure trove of them,” he admitted. Chuckling nervously. “All the times I fell face first trying to learn some of this stuff.”
He was about to reply about the milk when Bunga reminded him he wasn’t supposed to mention “cooking” per say. It was probably better off skirting around the idea of fire and using it on meat. After all, there were other things you do with cooking too!
“Oh cooking is like what I did there. Using different ingredients and mixing them to make something new,” he said brightly. It was a simplification but still a good way of putting it. “There are lots of other things you can do though, but uh... A little at a time is probably better.”

Bunga smiled, "I'll be glad to hear them!" the badger teased, giving him a playful jab with his shoulder. "And many more to make with your new mom and dad." he grinned.
"Oh really? Well you're a good cooker!" he complimented. "Come on, it's best to learn it all at once and get it over with!" he said, in a way that he would be sarcastic coming from anyone else. "If you want to stay and cook some more smoothies for me, I'm all for it!" he said, "Or your uncle Bunga could give you some advice. What do ya say?"

Kabili gave a playful smirk back. He was sure Simba would gladly do that, or Nala, they seemed like the types anyway. “Yeah, you may have to wait a bit, if they break them out like they do with humans - when I bring home a girl,” he explained jokingly. “Least that’s what I hear we do.”
Oh good he just assumed cooking was all about smoothies thank god! That was the exact thing he needed him to be thinking, at least for now. “I guess I could show you a thing or two more,” he replied with a grin. “Ha! Depends what sort of advice are we talking?”

Bunga smiled, "I can wait! I wonder what girl humans look like." he hummed, "I'm sure they look weird, too." he shrugged.
The honey badger nodded, "Sure thing, maybe you can teach me how to do them sometime." he suggested, to not demand his time as such. "As for my advice? My uncles taught me everything they know about Hakuna Matata! And I can always teach you about Zuka Zama!!

Kabili nodded. They definitely might even look weirder in a way - just imagine them learning about make up or why they had longer hair! They might even mistake it for a mane. “Yeah they’ll probably confuse you guys a bit,” he chuckled. “But they’re usually the more mature of our species too.”
Oh! Show him how to do them? That wasn’t a bad idea either. “I can definitely show you one of these days!” There was that word again, Hakuna Maratha? What did that even mean? Zuka Zama was new though. “What does Hakuna Maratha mean anyway? Lots of people mention it but I thought that was the place we’re in now?”
