Bunga grinned a bigger grin then he had yet to make. "Zuka Zama! You love sports? Have we got sports!" he gave Kabili a hug. "I'm going to love having you around!" he proclaimed. "Trust me you won't be bored with me around." he said, in such close proximity his stench would be obvious, but it wasn't exactly horrible... just unpleasant. Intensely so.
"Oh I'm not scared of anything! I'll do whatever you want with the fruit, I'll even steal the fruit from the king himself!" he claimed, whenever he said absurd things it seemed he was both joking and serious...

Well that was comforting to know he’d have at least one comfort of home.
Hey maybe if he could find the right supplies he could even teach some of the animals his sports. If only he had his baseball bat, or ball. He would have paid good money to see them try to figure that one out. “Maybe I can even try to teach you guys some of my sports,” he pointed out. “I have a lot of fun ones I can probably adapt to this place. But I want to learn all of yours too!” He gently returned the hug, though it felt... Odd. A good odd but odd still to hug animals.
Oh! He didn’t think that one was necessary he noted as he chuckled. But he did notice that a couple of the good fruits were now nearby. “Nah I think we can leave dad alone for this one,” he joked. “But I do have some good ideas. Back home we liked making this stuff called smoothies.”

Bunga grinned "Oh yeah, you have to teach us everything! Or at least everything you can. I'm sure we can make it work." he said, though he had no clue what Kabili had in mind of course, he was just that constantly confident! "We will take turns, play a different game every time!" he suggested, or... demanded?
Bunga smiled at hearing Kabili say "dad". He really was here to stay! "I'll smooth anything you want! Or un-smooth it... rough it? Yeah I can do that too! I'd do anything for Kion and I bet I'd do anything for you!"

Kabili nodded. There were definitely many games in the human world that could be adapted to the jungle or at least he thought so. “Yeah we’ll just have to get creative,” he explained honestly, given that they didn’t have equipment. “But trust me it can be done. Seems like there’s no shortage of things here. Which is insane.”
With a chuckle he began to look over the bananas he’d found nearby first. Honestly how did they even tell what was good or not? He’d just now realized he’d never really thought to check the ripeness before. Most of the time he’d been too hungry before - then he’d been eating meat a lot.
“I just gotta make sure we get the right stuff,” he explained honestly. “You know how to tell what fruit is good in this place?” After all, he had grown up there so it stood to reason he might.

Bunga grinned, "Yeah, we're all pretty creative!" he informed, "I can make a game out of anything, which means I can take a game and make it work!"
He perked up as Kabili looked at the bananas, "I usually just eat it and find out that way, but well, bananas are best when they are yellow with brown spots!" he declared, "Hrm I mean, really it's just making sure you don't the bad stuff. As long as it's not too mushy, soft and rotten..."

That was fair, it was always a matter of creativity when it came to adapting things wasn’t it? Honestly there were plenty of large branches that could work. “Honestly, it would be great if I still had my stuff before the crash too. I had packed a baseball which would have been a start,” Kabili explained with a chuckle. “But I’m not even sure where the other humans are let alone where my luggage is.”
Honestly, that made sense. He guessed it would be easy to see which ones were mushy and gross right? “That makes sense. I think the last thing we need is me getting food poisoning,” he explained jokingly as he started collecting a couple of bananas. “I don’t know if it’s the same for you guys. But we humans vomit. A lot, sometimes for a couple of days.”

Bunga nodded, "We can make a new baseball!" he said, not that he knew they could, just that he would let nothing get him down. "Or maybe we'll find your stuff, wouldn't that be unbungabelievable?!" He laughed.
"Of course, I don't mind if they are a bit on the brown side, but most animals are sooo picky. Give them a banana with any green on it and they spit at you, and if leaking? Forget it!" he rolled his eyes "If you want someone picky about their fruit, talk to Chagua."

Huh he hadn’t thought about that, but it wasn’t a bad idea. Since he doubted they’d ever find his stuff at this rate. He wasn’t even sure just how many humans had actually survived the crash at this point after all, or if the planes even had. “It probably depends on how much of the plane was saved,” Kabili admitted. “And if we ever find it. Let’s face it, it’s been a while. I don’t think the others want to be found.”
Ohhh picky? Well he guessed that made sense. Especially if the animals were on a fruit based diet but he got where Bunga was coming from too. “I mean I know a lot of picky eaters back in New York,” he admitted with a chuckle. “I couldn’t be picky since food was hard to get though. I think I’ve eaten more with the Pride than I ever did there. Even put on some weight.”
It was true; Kabili had been pretty skinny when he’d first come to the Pridelands. But now there was more meat on his bones, filling him out a little bit. “What about you, Bunga? If you don’t mind me asking,” he said looking over other fruits. “What’s your story? I know how dad came to be with Timon and Pumbaa but what about you?”

Bunga shook his head, "Who would want to be found, out here with lions and hyenas everywhere? I'm sure if it's been this long they figured something out! The Pridelands are big, then there's the Outlands. The two of us could get them to feel safe!" he smiled, "They would find it weird, maybe we shouldn't tell them I'm your uncle." he laughed.
"Yeah, I eat whatever is easiest to get a hold of!" he said, which would certainly explain why he never mixed fruit. He had some laziness in him. "Getting fat? That means we need to play every day!" he said, naturally eager for an excuse.
He shrugged at his question however. "Uh, I kind of just showed up and they took me in." he put his paws out, "You see an animal in need, you help them, and they were just great uncles that I got lucky and didn't have to deal with moving..." he hummed, "Can you imagine that? Bouncing around between parents?" he was visibly displeased at the idea that it could have not worked out the first time.

Kabili nodded his head thoughtfully along to what he had to say. He wasn’t sure how easy it would be to get them to trust them. But honestly he’d probably help out. “Maybe,” Kabili replied honestly. “But it’s hard to tell sometimes what people would find weird. Humans are kind of a strange species.”
Getting fat? Kabili snorted. He hardly thought he was getting fat. Or at least he hoped not. “Ha! Probably not fat yet, just putting on some weight. It’s a good thing,” he explained. “I was underweight for my age, now I’m catching up lease I think.”
Oh wow! That was how it worked in the Pridelands? It sure was nicer than in the human world that was for sure. “Animals are way better than humans,” he admitted point blank. “When you lose your family they bounce you from home to home. Unless you’re really lucky and have some left around.” He explained honestly. “That was why I was kinda stunned by how quickly the Pride let me in. That’s really how it works around here?”

Bunga nodded "You said it, not me!" he said in response to humans being strange.
He nodded, "Must be that you don't have any fur, it makes it hard to tell." he said, oddly enough as for Kabili it would likely be the opposite experience, with the fur blocking the view. "Well if you need food, come by anytime for all you can eat grubs and fruit!" he proclaimed, even if it was uncles' place.
"Oof... Well... if you say so." his jaw dropped at that being the norm for humans, but the animal system did have its drawbacks. Not that Kabili would know of them. For one, nothing stopped a certain evil lioness from raising Kovu... and well, anyone who didn't find anyone, had no network.
"Anyway about the fruit!" he changed subject to happier things.

Kabili made an eye roll chuckling a little.
But the fact that he would ever go back to eating grubs was a funny thought. All the same he did know that was a good point about the no fur. “Yeah, I guess it is hard to tell if I’m fat or not compared to you guys,” he admitted. “Nah you’d know if I was fat our bellies get huge.” He motioned for emphasis.
He could see that Bunga was surprised by that. “I mean I’m sure both have their drawbacks. Like foster kids don’t have to worry about a roof over their head. But some caretakers are abusive,” he then added. “And some animals have it harder or it’s harder to find help. But animals are more willing to take care of kids or Cubs...” he explained.
“Oh yeah! Fruit!” He commented as he collected a bit more. “Yeah those should do... Come on, I’ll show you what I meant.”

"Right! You'd look even more like monkeys, huh?" he chuckled, "Don't worry I'll notice if you start looking a lot different!" He frowned, "Oh, yeah..." he didn't know of Zira yet, or he'd see what he meant.
"Or you don't know how an animal works and you have to teach it to eat bugs! Like Simba." he said lightening the mood some more. "On your tail! Well, not literally cause you don't have a tail but!"

Kabili nodded with understanding.
He thought he nodded a little too much but at the same time, he also knew that he was only now starting to come out of his shell more. So he hoped everyone didn’t take his shyness as indifference. Which it wasn’t. “Yeah like that,” he explained. Chuckling. “Thankfully most of us vocalize our diets. I had to explain it to mom and dad - like how I couldn’t just eat raw meat.”
He did snort at the thought of himself with a tail though. It was literally a nightmare. “So I’ve heard from the adult side of things. But is there anything I need to know about being a kid out here?” He asked. “We don’t get treated different or anything because of our status do we?”

Bunga chuckled, "I just help myself, no need to tell anyone." he said casually, with a clear admittance of rudeness, if he even knew what manners were.
He blinked and stopped where he stood, "Well, we're not kid-kids..." he said, "The little ones are supposed to stay with their parents or in their territory and not go too far." he said, "The older and wiser you get, the further you get to go." he shrugged, "At our age we can go anywhere we like, as long as we are home by dark. Even the adults aren't really supposed to be out at night either." he hummed, "It's just up to the parents, or pride or herd." he answered. "I mean, it just gets confusing. Just listen to your parents and don't let anyone get you down. If you have any real problems talk to your brother!" he suggested, wondering if he was having problems...
