The clouds above swirled, catching her a little off guard. Was this actually happening? She had just thought she would talk to him, she did not imagine that he would actually answer and she stood, walking towards the ever growing clouds.
When she spoke, she listened and did not speak too quickly. An Omen of Hope? She smiled when he spoke about how she had always had a strong and king-heart. Had she been a human, her cheeks would have been red with a blush. She nodded when he spoke about the trials ahead. Strength and Kindness? That seemed to be the point he was making.
Brave and Beliefs... Her beliefs... She thought about those for a moment. She had always wanted to protect the Pridelands, just as her father and brother, but she had always been more accepting and willing to give others a chance to prove themselves. She glanced in the direction Kovu would be in. She had accepted him long before others had, those who had turned their backs because of Zira and Scar.
"Thank you, Grandfather," she said as she sat down and looked to the sky. She didn't know what else to say and she thought about it, but there were no other questions she felt he would answer. Rafiki had made it known several times that the spirits guided, they didn't give one straight answer. "Grandfather... are there other's like Sam?" She knew there were other humans, but ones like Sam? After all, he had brought Sam to them at such a young age that it may have seemed an odd choice. But the spirits always had their reason and luckily Simba had listened to him. ”Sam is one of many, but in him we saw the propensity to be more. More than what his people have made of him,” Mufasa explained. ”Many humans we’ve watched have his qualities… But in the cub we have seen the qualities needed for these first steps.”It was an honest truth. Many humans seemed set in their ways - at least as far as the adults were concerned. ”I do believe now, however, the time will come where you meet the others. And you must be prepared, all of you,” Mufasa’s words were honest and firm. ”You all must learn, where our ancestors could not…”As he faded, he hoped he hadn’t said too much. He could only interfere so much even if he wanted to help. Things needed to go how they were going to. Some things they’d have to figure out on their own. ”Follow your instincts, Kiara… When the time comes all will be clear.”

Kiara listened to her Grandfather's words and looked down. Sam was a cub and she wondered just what the adults were like. It was a scary though, the unknown and she believed that her grandfather understood that. As he told her that she would meet them, which sounded soon, she understood. All her life, she had looked at the brighter side, but that didn't mean she should let her guard time.
"I will do my best, Grandfather... Thank you." She smiled up at the sky, her eyes searching the clouds where he had formed so she could see him. She wished she had gotten to meet him when he was alive and not gone from this place. "I wish you were with us in more than Spirit, Grandfather."
She knew her grandmother was saddened that he was gone. She saw it, even though she seemed happy. TAG: The Spirits, Simba, Samwel IgweLOCATION: Pride Rock in the Pride Lands COMMENTS: ^_^

"I can't believe I didn't notice it sooner." Simba growled, he was very angry with himself. Anything could have happened, anything... He didn't even want to think about it. The cool breeze that hit his face while running helped him divert his thoughts. Now he had to focus on tracking his daughter and find her as soon as possible.
In the very distance he suddenly noticed a lioness. It was nighttime, however, being a lion Simba had a good eyesight. He slowed down to get a better view. "Kiara? Kiara!" Yes, it was her! And what a great weight off his shoulders that he found his daughter alive. Simba immediately ran up to her giving her a worried nuzzle. "Are you okay? Why have you been gone for so long? Are you hurt? What happened?"

Sam understood his frustration with that one.
After all, he seemed very protective of his kids… Of them he guessed he could say now. Still he followed Simba curiously, hoping that there wasn’t any more trouble happening. Keeping up with Simba wasn’t easy but he was at least getting faster with all the strength he’d been getting. So he arrived just a few moments after him, relieved to find that Kiara was fine at least, he’d had more than enough heart attacks for the last few days, right? Still rubbing his knees he said. “I really need to work on running. Man.” He muttered to himself.
Either way he came up beside Simba and decided to echo his statement. Though for a moment, he had to think. Did he call him your majesty now? Simba? Dad? Father? Sam wasn’t sure now that he knew the whole thing had been an adoption. But still, with slight hesitation in his voice he finally said: “Yeah, you uh… You gave us a bit of a scare.” He managed. “You know with everything going on right now.”

Kiara had returned to walking since her talk with her grandfather, his paws touching a few old tracks left by her father, which brought a chuckle to her face. He was always worried about her and she just couldn't help but shake her head. The night was calm and she was enjoying looking into the skies again when she heard her name.
"Dad?" She came to a stop, looking confused as he came up to her. The darkness also revealed Sam as well, moving his way to them, but certainly winded. He really did lack the speed of a lion and though she was sure he would get faster, she wondered if he needed more aid than lions?
"Of course I'm fine... I was patrolling with the guard and checking on Jasiri and the clan," she said as she looked between the two of them with confusion. For her, it was important to check on everyone, especially those who were their friends. "They are fine, by the way... Though the earthquake gave them a startle as well... It might be wise to send a messenger to our Gorilla allies as well?" She suggested in mild annoyance that she seemed to be the only one thinking about their allies and friends. "You shouldn't wander near the Outlands alone after moonrise." His voice brought some kind of reproach, but without anger. Simba knew that Zira was gone and Jasiri was now the Queen making the Outlands a little safer, but since those lands were not under Simba's control he couldn't know what kind of danger was lurking there... hostile hyenas or lions, hostile humans, anything. Furthermore, Simba tended to forget that Kiara was not a cub anymore, but an adult and mature lioness, almost ready to be Queen. He couldn't help but as father he couldn't behave otherwise, even if with these questions he seemed to be overreacting.
"I'm glad they are fine, and I am glad you're fine as well." Simba now sounded much calmer. Also, Kiara's suggestion made him think for a moment. "Yes, I think you're right. I am sure the quake reached the Theluji Mountains as well and we need to know what's going on there, especially because it's almost time for the peace message again."

Jasiri, another name to commit to memory. They had so many ally’s.
That quake on the other hand, still made a chill roll up his spine. But still it seemed like things would get better, right? They could figure this out, or at least he hoped so. “Hopefully everything ends up OK. I mean it almost feels like it happened in a way no one got hurt,” Sam explained honestly. “I’m going to need to start keeping track of these ally’s though. We sure have a lot.”
He let out a small yawn as he spoke. After all, it was late and he could still feel that. “This has been one eventful night though. And here I was ready to run…” He joked. Though it was true, this whole thing had started because he was ready to run away - what a mistake that had been. “Uh… Thanks for talking me out of that, by the way….”
Scratching his head, he did stop himself short that time. “I’m not really sure what to call you anymore actually. This is gonna take some getting used to.” After all, he’d never had parents until now.
