GENERAL INFO
Personality: For someone who came from a sad story, you wouldn't be able to tell it with Zawadi. As a cub, he was always very relaxed, enjoyed being by himself while the rest of the cubs tried to stick around with Kiara or Kion. He was quiet, enjoyed the idea of watching others, listening to the conversations around him. He never involved himself with others conversations unless brought in, but his skill for observation has some in handy over the years.

Though he is most the time calm and laid back, enjoying sunbathing when he can, hunger drives him to be angry sometimes and he hates when his stomach feels empty. It makes him rather poor company during the dry season, but he does try and not get too angry. It rarely works if the situation gets tense.

He respects the circle of life, like his own mother taught him. When his mother passed away, due to a bad sickness, he was depressed for several days, unable to be comforted by his sisters. Though it took time, he managed to return from that state of mind and be with the pride as he once was.

History: Before we can get to the small history of Zawadi, we need to introduce his mother and father. You see, Palma was raised in the Pride Lands, but when she heard about what happened to Mufasa, she ran away from the Pride Lands, because she had never liked Scar. Though she did not know the extent of what actually happened, she knew that Mufasa and Simba were gone and that Scar was taking over as King. He had always given her creepy looks that made her very uncomfortable. She refused to be under his rule and left as quickly as she could. Palma had been traveling for several weeks when she met Zendi, a lion from a Pride far from the Pride Lands. Zendi was the brother of the King and she was welcomed into the Pride.

Palma and Zendi were smitten with each other, but Zendi was hesitant to start a relationship with Palma, because his last two mates had died in childbirth. He had four daughters, Yakini, Dacia, Ifama, and Madiha. Yakini and Dacia were from his first mate, Mana. While Ifama and Madiha were from his second mate, Anika. Both set of daughters were twins and both Mana and Anika died shortly after the birth due to complications. Zendi felt it was his fault and couldn't commit to Palma, for fear he would kill her too.

But, Palma was able to convince him that a relationship would work and his daughters accepted her. Soon, Palma was pregnant with their first litter of cubs. Palma was in the last week of her pregnancy when the Pride was attacked by rogues and she and her stepdaughters managed to escape after witnessing Zendi killed by the rogues. All five lionesses began to journey away from the lands... Palma did not know where to go, but she had faith that they would be okay if she just kept going...

Maybe Scar would leave her alone? No... She couldn't subject her stepdaughters to such a fate. As they neared the Pride Lands, she saw many animals heading in that direction and this was curious to her. It was then that she heard a new King had come to the Pride Lands... Or rather, had returned... Simba. Palma knew they could return home and so, she headed to the Pride Lands and arrived just hours before the birth of her son. Her mother welcomed her home and the Lionesses were able to help her give birth to her son, Zawadi.

Zawadi was born shortly after Kion was born and he was raised with the other cubs of the Pride Lands. His sisters, being older, enjoyed life with the Lionesses, learning to hunt and going out with them on a daily. Palma was happy to be home, even if it meant she didn't have a mate any longer. Zawadi was raised into a fine young lion, learning from his mother and those around him. Sadness would strike though when his mother became suddenly ill. Not even Rafiki could help her and Zawadi watched as she was taken from him. For several weeks, Zawadi stayed away from the Pride, his siblings unable to bring him comfort.

Though, it is unknown what brought him back to regularly staying at Pride Rock again, he came back and seemed to have returned to his old self.
