GENERAL INFO
Personality: Johann is a very self-driven person, firmly believing in his ideas and notions. Johann can have a sensitive side, so long as the person he's speaking to is of European descent. Furthermore, Johann can be considered a sentimental person as is seen with his unwavering attachment to his Iron Cross that he gained for his service to the Kaiser; nothing much else other than that. Johann is very calm under pressure, often reciting the phrase "Gott Mit Uns" whenever things get too heated. Whenever Johann is focussing on a task, he becomes eerily formal and forthcoming. In addition to this, Johann also uses silence to his advantage during conflicts; gathering as much intel as possible before making his statement/move.,
Likes: Johann enjoys many things such as a spot of tea and a game of badminton from time to time. He also enjoys the advancements made in Aviation throughout the years, loving the thrill of exploring the skies without fear of death. At heart, however, Johann is a Nationalist through and through, admiring the past Kaiser Wilhelm II in his endeavor to make Germany one of the fiercest nations in the world. In addition to his love for Monarchist Germany, Johann also believes in European National Unity against the Americas.
Dislikes: Due to his past experience, Johann has a strong distaste for the USA but he can cooperate with an American if needs be; begrudgingly of course. Johann despises fascism, believing it to be a false reclamation of the glory days of the German Empire; tarnishing its name with the "Third Reich". Johann also dislikes Pacifism, believing it to be the weakest trait a person could have. Johann also has a stark hatred for liars and arrogant people; wanting things to be straight to the point instead. Lastly, Johann dislikes most animals, treating them as if they were bags of meat instead of living breathing creatures. Johann also has a minor dislike of Abbreviations, thinking them to be a lazy substitute for proper formal language.
PERSONAL INFO
Family: Father - Kleiner Borchardt
Mother - Eva Borchardt
Significant Other: None
History: Johann was born into an affluent family on the 4th of May 1896. Throughout his developing years, Johann's father Kleiner would take young Johann to visit the Airfields that hosted one of Germany's most successful advancements at the time; The Zeppelin. This magnificent feat of human design enthralled Johann with vigor and purpose, leading him to become fascinated with anything concerning Human Aviation. However, Kleiner, seeing his son's captivation with human aviation, decided to implant some early notions of German Monarchist Nationalism and Militarism into his son's head; wanting him to join the ranks of the military to advance his own social standing in society. Johann absorbed all of what his father said to him, slowly but surely becoming more and more in love with the Monarchy he so badly wished to serve. By the age of 16 (1912) Johann's father's company had grown massively thanks to military spending by the German Imperialist Government. The positive attention Johann's father received thanks to his company's involvement with the military only proved to reinforce what his father had taught him during his younger years; Germany was number one. By the start of the First World War, Johann had joined the ranks of the Deutsche Luftstreitkräfte (Imperial German Air Service) and served as reconnaissance for the German Navy from 1914 to 1916. Due to the lack of action in the seas, Johann wished to be transferred to the Western Front in a bid to receive some action. Johann got what he wanted and began his dogfighting career against the Royal Air Force. From 1916 to December of 1917 Johann fought vehemently against Germany's enemies, shooting down planes to the best of his ability; silently mouthing the phrase "Gott Mit Uns" in his steadfast loyalty to the Kaiser and Germany. By December of 1917, Johann had gained quite the reputation in his hometown of Munich, much to his father's approval. Due to his success, Johann and his family were invited to the Kaiser's Christmas celebration and awards ceremony which in Kleiner's eyes, was the opportunity of a lifetime, his dream goal, and thanks to his son, Kleiner finally got what he wanted all along. It was at this Awards Ceremony that Johann received his Iron Cross personally from the Kaiser himself. Johann had never felt such euphoria and pride for his accomplishments before and sadly would never feel that sensation again onwards. After the celebration things only seemed to worsen for the Borchardt family. With the involvement of the American Armed forces in 1918, the Western front began to change drastically. Each time Johann flew into the sky, the number of 'close calls' he had encountered only seemed to increase after each flight. In November 1918, Johann's world crashed around him literally. During one of his routine air interception flights, a British plane destroyed Johann's propeller, forcing him to glide the aircraft to the nearest field. Unfortunately for Johann, the plane came down too fast and resulted in a crash landing, breaking one of Johann's legs in the process as well as projecting him into a coma. Johann remained in a comatose state up until the summer of 1919. When Johann awoke, he was incredibly distraught to find out that Germany had not only lost the war against the Entente but Germany's very own Kaiser Wilhelm had abdicated, bringing an end to the Imperial German Monarch that had been in power since he was but a child. He was in pieces, to say the least. What's worse is the fact that both of his parents were tried and sentenced to prison over Embezzlement, funding the German Army's Gas Research Division. The company was shut down in the process. The only thing that Johann had that he could still hold onto was his Iron Cross. Johann blamed the USA for Germany's defeat, acquiring a strong distaste for anything American-related.
Throughout the Inter-war years, Johann served as a Commercial Zeppelin Pilot for Weimar Germany between 1920-1934. Johann watched the country he so loved fall into disarray with revolutions, hyper-inflation, assassinations, and above all disunity; all whilst watching from a bird's eye view. This sickened Johann deeply. Day by day his convictions grew stronger and stronger, becoming more and more bitter as the years progressed.
With the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany, Johann was hired as a test pilot for upcoming Aviation Advancements in 1934 due to his past air service. Johann didn't care all too much for the Nazi Party. To him, the government was nothing more than a bunch of pretenders trying to unify Germany under the hatred of minority groups in a sorry attempt to relive the glory days of the German Empire. It was this view that led Johann to defect to the Soviet Union with promises of exchanging German Military Aviation documents for that of safe refuge and a new life. Thus, in 1937, Johann flew eastward towards the USSR with said documents by his side. The Soviet Union welcomed him with open arms and even offered him a position in the Soviet Air Forces. Due to the significance of the documents, Johann was treated incredibly well by the Russian people with some Military and Research Advisors even going so far as to call him a hero. This was the start of Johann's involvement with the Soviet Union and it wouldn't just stop there. By 1941, Johann had grown very accustomed to the Soviet way of life, learning Russian to the best of his ability as well as making a name for himself with the Russian populace. Back in Germany however, his once-respected service in The Great War was completely overshadowed by his betrayal, with the Nazi Party condemning him as an enemy of the state. With this revelation in toe, Johann found a new purpose in life; to fight in the Great Patriotic War.
Due to his age, Johann wasn't considered viable enough to dogfight in the Second World War and was thus given the position of a Bomber Pilot. He served throughout the warring years, bombing German cities that he used to hold so dearly to his heart; not even batting an eye to the death and destruction he was causing. In fact, Johann couldn't care less; he had a new nation to put his heart and soul into and he'd be damned if he would let his newly found Mother Russia be taken from him.
By the end of the war, Johann was over the moon with joy and attaintment at having beat back the Nazi Beast with his comrades in arms. Whilst millions across the world celebrated the glorious victory of the Allied Powers and the USSR, Johann was approached by a messenger from the esteemed William MacHenry; asking for Johann's assistance with piloting a plane for a special expedition due to Johann's past experience. This intrigued Johann, especially when the messenger mentioned that the location they were attempting to find was the mythical lost city of Zion; rumored to be somewhere in the African Savannah. Johann was told that the expedition would comprise people from across the world in a bid to find this city. Johann couldn't say no, after all, he was still feeling rather adventurous despite the end of the Second World War and if he and the others were to find the lost city; then they would make history. Johann accepted the proposal and was told to meet the others in due time to begin preparations for the expedition. Before that, however, Johann contacted the KGB to inform them of the expedition and the involvement of the fabled city of Zion. They came to a mutual agreement; if they were to find the lost city, then Johann was to report back to the KGB High Command to inform them of the location to allow for an invasion force to be assembled to conquer the city in the name of the USSR. Johann was given a special assignment, one that he would see through till the end...
