SITE RATING
GENERAL RULES
1. RESPECT. In general treat others the way you want to be treated! We all come from different walks of life and backgrounds. Everyone should consider this a happy and safe space.
2. We are an inclusive, LGBTQ+ and disability positive/friendly group. Discrimination of any type based on this, race, or anything else will absolutely not be tolerated and result in an automatic ban.
3. Please first register with your OOC alias in ALL CAPS before creating your character account(s) with PROPER CAPS. You will need both on site to keep things neat and organized. This is a character per account site. You may have two work-in-progress applications at a time.
4. We are aware this is a Disney site and thus MAY cater to a younger crowd. But as per Proboards TOS all members should be thirteen years of age or older. Thank you.
5. Please wait for your completed application to be approved by an administrator before posting any of your claims or threads. Thank you.
6. Activity checks will be conducted on the second weekend of every month to assure everyone is still here and member lists are up to date. Additionally, if you’re playing a canon we ask you post at least twice every month since Lion King canons are often sought-after and I’d rather have people not simply sitting on them. If you can’t meet these requirements or make a check - please just inform a member of staff! As life always comes first we are more than happy to help or give lenience when needed.
7. All canon sweeps will be conducted one month from the last posting of the member. If they have not posted in that time. If you can’t do so for any reason again let us know! It is not a big deal - and exceptions can always be made!
8. Lastly, though we allow humans on site, the number of them is limited to the members of the expedition. As such, please bare in mind these spots are on a first-come, first-serve basis in order to keep Lion King mostly about animal politics. Thank you for understanding.
IN-CHARACTER RULES
1. Human character position slots and ages are pre-set and can be found on the list of “The Expedition” in the character guides. This is to get a good mix of ages, as well as make sure there isn’t a disproportionate amount of one group than the other.
2. We do not have a word count set on “The Mighty Jungle”. But we do ask that you give your partner something to work with.
3. We are based is based after the canon continuity of the ANIMATED Lion King films. As such, all canon characters should be represented as such. All images should come from established media, or be free-to-use/used with the creators permission and necessary credit given to them. Humans and animal OCs may play more loosely with this and feel free to use real life face claims when in doubt!
4. We accept characters from any form of Lion King media as long as the current plot is taken into consideration and the characters are modified appropriately. Exceptions are of course dead characters such as Scar and Mufasa.
5. We allow any animals from the African continent/Savannah (Pridelands/Outlands) and Asia (Tree of Life) on site. But we do ask you do proper research to make sure they can be found there to keep things realistic as possible, thank you.
6. This should go without saying but... Absolutely NO bestiality on site. Just because we accept humans does not mean we will be allowing this. If you’re found practicing this it’s an automatic ban. Thank you.
7. Though we don’t intend the Expedition plot to go on forever, human characters are more than welcome to stick around past this. If you can find a sufficient reason to have them stay behind in the Pridelands - they will always have a place on site. Rest assured.
8. For all intents and purposes, animals and humans in both the Pridelands/Outlands can understand each other.
9. Please don’t make original characters related to canon characters without the expressed permission of the player of that canon. This is an absolute no-no in order to keep things from getting out out of hand. As a general rule of thumb we will not accept any OCS who are related to a canon - but born before the timeline of the site. Namely, if they weren’t in Lion King 1 they don’t exist/cannot be played. Additions to canon families are of course handled on a case by case basis and at the discretion of the admins and their players.
10. Please do not seriously harm or kill characters without permission! Of course characters can and will be damaged in battle, but we should all make sure to keep it fair. Similarly the outcomes of any major conflict should be discussed and decided on by all parties.
11. We’re more than OK with original male lion characters in the Pridelands. As long as it is acknowledged Simba is the king. We allow the ability to create your own prides with their own leaders, but none of course can be “the king”. None the less as The Lion King’s prides are a bit unusual and not realistic we say the more the merrier!
12. Everything in the series canon, including "The Lion Guard", is currently canon to the site. Please take this into account when creating characters!
13. Though we are a fantasy site, I want things to be kept as realistic as possible. We won’t be allowing animal mutations, or superhuman humans of any kind.
14. As far as anything sexual goes. Please fade to black or better yet just imply it all together.
15. You are allowed as many characters as you can handle. Though we do ask that as far as canons go members alot themselves no more than five canon characters to keep it fair.
16. The youngest age an expedition member can be is fourteen. Remember they must realistically be able to survive in the jungle without being a hinderance or nuisance. Animal characters can be any age by contrast.
17. Please tag any triggering events with an M or Trigger Warning. Thank you.
18. Absolutely no god modding, power playing, or the like. It will not be appreciated or tolerated.
19. As far as NPCs go you’re free to do with nameless NPCs what you want. When NPCing a canon for any reason you should not be killing, hurting, maiming, or significantly altering them in anyway. Remember these are characters that someone will very likely one day play, point blank. Use your best discretion.
20. Due to the magic - animals live much longer lifespans on-site and can reach a similar age-range as humans.

2. Keep things civil. If you have a problem please consult a member of staff and we will handle things if you can’t amongst yourselves.
