The man scuffed morosely at the ground with the sole of his dented black shoe, mumbling something irritably under his breath. That damn soldier...whatever his name was, the one they'd all decided was leading this whole operation...had ordered him to go looking for some source of potable water for the rest of the group. McGalloway had the inkling it was just an excuse to get him away from the others. His genius simply didn't get the credit it deserved among these Yanks. As he looked around, the environment started to become more lush than the one they'd happened to crash-land in...the place was teeming with all manner of colorful flora, and the zoologist could hear the sounds of small animals rustling in the treetops and in the undergrowth. Upon reaching the lagoon (where, unbeknownst to him, a certain warthog and meerkat made their home), McGalloway was suddenly overcome by childlike energy in his excitement. He half-ran, half-leaped over to the edge to peer into its depths, and let out an ecstatic gurgle of laughter as he watched the exotic, amphibious life in the pool go about their business. He pulled a small notepad and pen from his pocket and crouched at the edge. He fervently began making notes, hissing them softly out loud to himself and taking no account into how precariously he was balanced over the water.

Timon was coming out of a deep sleep.
It had been a whole lot of preparation for that damn presentation. Now that it was over, he and Pumbaa were proud and tired. So they’d spent most of the time since Hakuna Matataing as usual. He hoped the kid was getting along good with his new “official” son but he needed to relax.
A dip in the lagoon had sounded nice. At least until he saw the frickin’ giant there. ANOTHER human? Oh god! He hoped it didn’t have a gun! And what was that thing in its hand?
Taking a few cautious steps forward, he decided he did have to do what he told Simba he would. Sure he’d wanted him to spy on them, but if he had one that was this close - he might be there ticket in. “Ahem, excuse me!” He shouted loudly. “You wouldn’t happen to be one of Sam’s friends, would ya?”
It felt weird using that name now but hey, he’d rather show he came in peace himself.
