Well this was just great! After everything else, she was going to fall off of a cliff...sort of ironic for a pilot's daughter and pilot in training, Tara figured. Her backpack was currently the only thing keeping her from meeting this fate. She was about to call it her lucky pack since it was about the only thing that had seen her through the weeks of being stranded. See Dad, an entire case of candy bars was not a wasted item to bring.
Tara instantly felt bad for this thought...given her father's fate.
Not the best food, and supplemented with berries where she found them, but it did in a pinch, and her favorite brand of candy bar was still her favorite even after forced lack of variety. More so now that it saved her life, they should put that in the radio commercials, if she got back to civilization she would recommend it...
But first she had to survive this next challenge. Slowly Tara tried to lift herself up...a cascade of gravel met her. Nope don't do that! Ok...ok...options...

Yun Mibu was just enjoying cliff hopping, as he often did around his forest home, his tail and agility helping him land perfectly every time (and common sense helping him not take jumps he couldn't do such with). The trees were nice to hang from as well. With another leap, he landed on a ledge and then felt a soft cascade of gravel.
He shook his head. What...
The leopard glanced up and his eyes widened at the sight of the...well he wasn't sure what it was, but it was hanging from the cliff! "Hey, what...are you ok?" he called up in a slightly worried voice.

The fact that she could talk to the animals about was not a new thing for Tara, and after this long in the jungle, or wherever they had landed. She had seen more desert and plains before they crashed but then made her way through forests for the most part. So she wasn't sure what she would see when she glanced down, but still blinked.
"Hey you're a neat cat", she commented before realizing her precarious situation. "Oh, uh, yeah, for the moments I'm good but...", another cascade of gravel finished her statement.

Yun Mibu tilted his head at the odd greeting he got from one in such a precarious situation. Though she soon seemed to realize it. "Oh! Right! Hold on!". He quickly surveyed where he was on the cliff face and the ledge and the one above where the odd monkey was.
He couldn't even see how she was still suspended yet and from this angle.
He leapt to another smaller ledge, but one he only needed for a moment before continuing to the ledge above. Actually now that he looked, and without a good tail grip, he thought he knew another way to try, "Here, see if you can reach my tail and I'll try to pull you up", he dangled it down.
"Oh and I'm a clouded leopard by the way", a bit random, but she had sort of asked earlier.

Tara wished she had a better view of what was happening. The leopard seemed to climb the cliff like it was nothing! He was soon offering his tail and telling her to try grabbing it. Well her only other option was staying where she was and while avoiding predators had been her main goal while lost he seemed friendly enough and smaller than a true big cat.
She had to chance it.
He said he was a clouded leopard, and while that wasn't a name, she needed some further distraction while she reached over and grabbed his tail, next hanging from what could be viewed as a more precarious situation. "Pleased to meet ya, I'm Tara Walker, or just Tara. Or just Walker". She was kind of gabbing nervously as she closed her eyes.

As soon as he felt her grab on, Yun Mibu braced his claws in the dirt and slowly walked forward, hauling her up to the much safer ledge and making sure she had made it before turning to her. "Oh no, that wasn't my name", he fell for thinking she had thought it was by her answer.
"I'm Yun Mibu. Uh, just both together, I've...never tried one or the other", he admitted, though now that he thought on it it was an interesting naming ritual!
"Though I'm very pleased to meet you as well, Tara Walker!", he at least started with both names. Though the last had him puzzled, "Do you walk a lot of places, is that why you're called that?". Maybe that was how she'd ended up on the ledge

As she was lifted to the more stable ground of the top of the cliff, Tara breathed a sigh of relief. Her lucky pack had even made the journey, and good thing because she still needed all that was in there. After sitting up, and taking it off she even checked. Yep, candy bars were good! As well as rope and other actual survival things useful except for when said rope was out of her reach on the cliff.
She then turned her attention more fully to the clouded leopard, Yun Mibu. "Well pleased to meet you too Yun Mibu, and thanks!". She chuckled at his last question, "No, well I mean I have been since we came here, but that wasn't intentional", she smiled, "It's just...a common name everyone in a family has to...mark that they are family. For humans", she explained.
She was by no means a bookworm, except for learning what would later aid her if she flew places, and even tried around the world like Amelia Earhart had! With better success of course. "And some humans put the family name in front even, and your name actually sounds like them. The Chinese, though talking about Asia is complicated right now, some people being still mad and...sorry", Tara stopped talking.

She wasn't named Walker for walking. Now Yun Mibu felt sort of silly for asking, though she took it well enough. He nodded as she explained about her culture and naming. "Oh! Wow, no we don't do that, I mean some animals will make their kid's names rhyme or start the same but nothing official".
His name sounded like some she was familiar with? "Really? Are these Chinese monkey's too? Uh, and sorry, is that what you are?", he realized he hadn't really got whether or not that was a correct assumption on his part. "And why are some mad?".

Tara knew what the leopard meant, and that he was being completely literal with asking if the Chinese were monkeys (as he thought she was) but still the way it struck her, she laughed. "Sorry, it's just...if you said that at home...anyway, uh they're what I am humans yes, but...with different colored hair, uh fur you might call it and...".
How to explain races? Tara wasn't sure if she could. "Like how you're a different kind of leopard, or from what I heard about, they're different looking humans". That still sounded bad, but it was the best she could do explaining.
Races was nothing compared to trying to explain The War. The next one after they were supposed to be done with the first one. "We just had a war, after another one close by, this guy...he decided he wanted more land than what he had and some of those I was describing helped him so now...people think they're all bad. I don't suppose you leopard and other animals have wars", she sighed, so maybe it was hard to understand.

Tara Walker compared human's variety to him compared to other leopards, or near as he could understand. But just that for difference, it sounded like, and varying fur color
Yun Mibu tried to wrap his head around the concept of only being surrounded by other leopards instead of the variety of animals he normally was, whether he said hi or no. "Oh I see and...you don't have trouble telling each-other apart?", he asked. "I mean...I can tell clouded leopards from others, of course, but I don't encounter many so...I can't imagine that being all I encountered".
War was unfortunately easier to understand, even if still in theory. "Oh, invading boarders and territory, no that happens. Never to me, thankfully, but I met a Jackal who was pushed out of his lands because of it and is having to plan to get it back". And hopefully Bandit was having luck with that...
Yet a bit more pressing than facts on humans and even wars, he realized the human he'd saved was still young and currently alone. "And do humans...have groups?", it sounded like they congregated, "Can I help you find yours?", he offered.

Tara laughed, "No we don't get each-other confused at all, but...I do know I think it's different if it's not 'your kind'. Like I have no idea how you tell two blue birds apart, and I tried once a while back".
He did understand war...Tara looked surprised then frowned as he explained. "Gosh...that's awful, I was hoping it was just a human problem, and one we would get ride of of course, but...", she let the matter drop, smiling touched as Yun Mibu asked about helping her get to the rest of her group.
"Uh we don't have an official name, or not that I know of, since...well I always thought we made up the names, but that can't be right, if we got them from you and you already know them", she realized and chuckled, before frowning again, "And...I don't know...I don't...think I do, or I haven't seen the others since we got stranded here and...my dad's not around no", she ended.

"No, blue-birds are confusing", Yun Mibu reassured with a small laugh of his own. It didn't surprise him all sorts of animals struggled with some trying to take too much and causing conflict over it, optimistic as he usually was...as well as the type that would only avoid war because he would no doubt back down first.
He wasn't sure if that was right, but it was a trait of smaller cats like clouded leopards.
No name for a group of humans. That would have helped asking around, and Yun Mibu was determined to help if he could, and especially as he heard it was just her. "Oh no, well don't worry, you can stick with me until we do find them", he said, and even bent to offer her a ride for easier travel if she liked.

This leopard had been cool enough off sight alone, then saving her, but as he backed her up on blue-birds Tara laughed along and decided he was just the greatest leopard she'd met. Never mind only.
Even before his offer. "Really? You'd let me...thanks" she said, sounding pleasantly surprised. He even offered her a ride, and she was probably still just small enough to make it not inconvenient. It was also the best way off this cliff. "Ok, but if I get too heavy let me know and I'll hop off", making sure her pack was secure she got on.

Yun Mibu just smiled back, "Not a problem". He waited until she was settled, adjusted to her weight, but he could still do it and then leapt to one of the other ledges and carefully made his way down to more level ground to bound upon in their search. "Ok, group of humans, let's go see if we can find them". ~Fin
