Vitani let loose a triumphant roar as she pulled herself up atop the zebra's back. Sharp, polished white talons tore through black-and-white flesh and the zebra gave a shrieking whinny. "Got you now," she whistled into the hoofed mammal's ear. Her unsheathed paws slammed heavily down on the nape of the throat, resulting in a satisfyingly frantic buck from her victim. Vitani grinned complacently.
But as satisfying as it may have been, it nevertheless loosened Vitani's hold. Within seconds she was sent sprawling to the ground, a clout of sandy dust rising around her. "Ugh." Irritated, the lioness spat out a thing of the soil, just as her head flopped back down unto the ground. "Ugh..." Timon

Sometimes Timon used his size to his advantage.
Mostly to help Simba out. Now, most knew it if they were close, but Timon was fiercely protective of his kid. And keeping an eye on the Outlanders when no one was looking was a priority for him at times to at least make sure he could at least try to listen in on things...
Brave? Yeah he guessed sometimes he was either brave or stupid. That damn kid brought it out of him every time.
Today however it was more like a show. Watching from a distance as that crazy daughter of Zira’s tore some poor mook to shreds. It hadn’t been funny but seeing it almost knock her out? Definitely had been. Ha! Do these big shots did actually mess up once in a while.
He snickered silently hoping not to be heard. But still feeling sorry for the Zebra. “Man they oughtta know better by now.”

"Ugh. I have a nose, too, y'know? Anyone could smell you out, meerkat. You reek like hyena dung." Vitani clambered hurriedly back to her paws, licking out the few grains of sand stuck between her digits. She cast a look back over her shoulders at the now cowering zebra, one of both longing and fury. But mostly of fury. "Am I just not supposed to hunt?" she then challenged the scrawny meerkat. "I am a carnivore -- killing is in my blood."
She allowed for a moment or two to pass before rising to her full height, shoulders flexing. "Whatever. I'mma try again. I'm not as clumsy as you may suspect, pune."

Timon made a “whoops” sound.
Standing to his feet to look over at Vitani he had a bit of a smirk on his face. Of course she was going to snark back. Didn’t these Outlanders always seem to snark back? The answer was of course a hearty yes but he didn’t really care since touching him meant major trouble he was sure,
“Killing may be in your blood, sweetheart. But I’m starting to think it’s not in your skill set.”
The last statement however, well he wasn’t sure if that was meant to be a threat or just a talk of determination at this point. But if it were the former he couldn’t say he was too scared of Zira’s cub. Zira for sure, but not the kids...
“Sure, try again. Maybe try a little harder this time. Heck, Simba had better form than that!” He joked. “And he was hunting grubs.”

"Yeah, well...." Vitani hunched her shoulders as she started toward the zebra, pace increasingly quicker with each passing second. "I suppose a lioness will do anything -- eat anything -- if she's starving enough." The words were tossed briefly out from over her shoulder, meant solely to creep out the meerkat but nothing more. Hunting the dude would just be a giant waste of breath, he was so dang scrawny.
Rightening the topic at hand, Vitani found herself moments later pelting again after the zebra. She decided to try a different approach this time around, one a bit more impressive perhaps, veering sideways so as to avoid those hooves. Her jaws snapped at its near nape as she came to pace at its side. Fangs met with warm flesh, much to Vitani's pleasure.
It took a few minutes of terrible pained screams, followed by a few dying last breaths, but she eventually had it.
Heaving the carcass into the air, she flung it Timon's way. "Enjoy!!!" she giggled sweetly. "Zebra blood on your face is real fun."

Did Timon see that one coming?
Well if the high pitched shriek he was known for across the land was anything to go by? Not really. What the heck was that? Did Simba rip animals apart like that? It was disgusting! Of course than she tossed the carcass his way and there was not helpful at all.
There went the second scream.
Oh god! This was going to be a pain to get out of his fur! Ugh! It was so gonna leave a stain! “Why I oughtta!” Timon snapped in frustration. “You’re lucky I don’t take out an eye or two for that!”
