Sometimes going where the wind takes you was something that had come to a point where one would say "but to what end?" otherwise you end up in a place that just doesn't look familiar at all. Of course that wasn't a bad thing if Shauku was trying to be optimistic but his legs felt too heavy to carry all that optimism if he had to be perfectly honest. Coupled with the fact that he hadn't drank a drop of water for nearly a whole day then it was no surprise that he came wobbling into the fields surrounding a large tree that seemed to call out to him. Its voice was drowned out by the exhaustion so instead of the tree gaining his attention it was a small stream that was only a few steps away.
A weak but joyous smile spread on the lion's face as he practically dragged himself to the stream, his tongue licking the side of his lips as he could only image the taste of cool refreshing water going down his gullet. It was almost enough to make his dry lips start to drool if they had any water left on them. With each step the stream started to change in his vision, it became blurry and even started to split into two. The smile on Shauku's face only grew wider but his eyes seemed to lose a bit of light in them as he suddenly collapsed onto the ground with his muzzle just and inch away from the water as the world around him started to go dark.

The stranger had not gone unnoticed.
Prowling from the shadows, watching the strange male from a distance was a pair of deep blue eyes, their owner barely visible in the darkness. His dark pelt and mane helped him blend in against the shadows of the rocks and trees, steps too silent to be heard as he watched Shauku. Baliyo had learned with age and experience it was best to not always act immediately, wanting to see the intentions of this newcomer. He had made that mistake with Kion of jumping in right away, having been irrational in his decision when he was much younger, so he was greatly trying to avoid that same scenario.
So quietly, he watched and waited, tail slowly flicking behind him. From a distance, Baliyo observed the male seemed...uneven in his steps, ignoring anything else save for the streams that flowed through their territory. His narrowed gaze soon changed to one of a worried frown. Maybe he should be worrying about attacking the stranger so much as getting Nirmala instead. Though he had a duty to his Pride to protect them they also had a duty to help those animals who were sick, hurt, or anything in-between.
The moment Shauku collapsed, the prince switched gears from alert to concern as he quickly leapt into action.
Snagging a large leaf, Baliyo took the stem between his teeth and bound over in a few leaps to the collapsed lion, using a technique Nirmala had taught most of the Pride to collect some water. When he felt there was enough, Baliyo sat back on his haunches, using a front paw to lift under the leaf while carefully tilting his head slowly pouring the water to the corner of Shauku's maw to help get the strange some much needed fluids. "Come on, wake up." Baliyo muttered under his breath, going for another round and hoping it might help the stranger to some degree.
