Kiara crossed the border back into the Pride Land not long ago and he had been thinking a lot about their meeting. Jasiri had said a few of her Hyena's had seen some Lions near the termite mounds, but with the recent past, had yet to claim that area for their growing clan. 'Too many recent memories, we do not wish to... touch right now.' Kiara recalled the words...

What she had been able to learn was that the Hyenas had seen two grown lionesses in the area and they believed at least two cubs. It was enough for Kiara to want to take a search party into the Outlands. Would it be better for her and Kovu to go alone? Or maybe Vitani and a the guard? They knew the lionesses in question, had seen them in the past... Kovu and Kiara had never seen them or met them, to her knowledge.

Kiara chose to patrol the border near where she had come in, slowly making her way along the edge.

Vitani and the other lionesses that made up the Guard had split up so that they could patrol the Pridelands better. They typically took shifts to make sure everything was covered at all times. Vitani knew that this was different than what Kion had done with his Guard but he had had the advantage of having other species alongside him instead of just lions. The lioness was alone until she got to the edge of the border where she suddenly noticed Kiara there, the princess of the Pridelands. Now this was interesting, even as independent as Kiara has always been, she was hardly ever alone. Someone was usually with her at all times. Vitani twitched her tail, there were always so many memories associated that Kiara, some good which were the most recent ones but most of them were swallowed by her mother's brainwashing and watching Kovu get closer to the princess before she realized how wrong her mother really was. As a result, Vitani didn't exactly go out of her way to avoid the princess... but she went out of her way to avoid being alone with the princess. Until now apparently.

The darker lioness sighed and rolled her blue and yellow eyes before walking right up to Kiara. "You ok, Kiara? Is something wrong?" Vitani didn't even know how to talk to the lioness in front of her. Was that really what she should have been saying? At the last second, Vitani also remembered her manners and dipped her head into a bow.

With Simba back in the Pridelands, which took a weight off Kiara, things were slowly returning back to normal. That included her over-protective father watching her moves. Kiara had grown to enjoy the independence with him absent. She had established some good habits and continued to build the ties to their allies.

At the sound of someone walking, she stopped and turned to see Vitani coming towards her. A smile broke onto her features and she let out a sigh at the question. "I am fine, just visiting Jasiri and her clan to ask some questions." It was the truth, but this was also the chance for her to speak to Vitani. She didn't want to start the conversation off though, not quite yet.

"On Patrol?" Kiara had easily gone a ways along the border, sniffing the area as she came closest to where the Termite Mounds were. She couldn't see them from the border, but they were near the crossing that put them within a good runs distance. "Hope it has been quiet?"
