Get hurt? Kabili definitely wanted to believe he wouldn’t actually get anyone hurt and he was pretty good at figuring out real danger. But then again who knew? He also didn’t have a whole Savannah to explore. “I promise to be careful, don’t sweat it,” he said rather smoothly. With a grin that probably wouldn’t make the king feel much better. “There’s a lot of places I want to explore though. So I think I’m gonna start doing that... Y’know maybe stretching my legs away from Pride Rock will help me a bit.”
Oh? He guessed that did make sense. He was sure that Zazu got a bit bored just like everyone else - especially when things were quiet. “I mean I’m no good as even a figurative lion if I can’t pounce, right?” He then admitted. “I want to build my strength too. Last thing I want is to look like the weak one. I was kind of a twig when you found me.”

Simba just gave Kabili a look, he could tell that learning would only come in time, "I'm your father, I will always sweat it" he said with a smile, and another nuzzle to Kabili's chest. "Explore, but also be safe, and work on your public singing." he said, "I had better hear more about songs than mischief at the watering hole." he said, with a tint of sternness.
He chuckled some, "Zazu will be glad to hear that, but make sure to spread that love around. Bunga, Kion, Timon... not to mention your friends as well! Try not to give anyone all the attention, or yes, mischief." he put his paw on Kabili's head, and ruffled his hair.

Kabili chuckled.
He guessed that was at least true. His mom has always worried when he’d gone off doing stupid stuff too. Though he couldn’t of course promise he would always stay out of trouble he could at least say... “Don’t sweat it,” he said rather matter of factly. “It’s not like I have a death wish. I’ll keep the dangerous, death defying stunts to a minimum...”
Or so he claimed.
That was also a good point. He had a lot of friends now, he hadn’t actually had many back home so this was interesting. “Oh trust me first thing I’m doing is going to find Bunga and see what weird stuff he knows to explore,” he said with a mischievous grin. Letting Simba rub his hair before standing up. “Hey, I still got some daylight. Maybe I’ll head down there now.”
After a moment he then added. “Thanks, dad. I uh... Really needed this. I’m uh, sorry if I freaked you out.”

Simba sighed, "...Yes, keep Bunga out of trouble, and learn from him what not to do, if you would." he chuckled. "Just think of how we will feel if something goes wrong." he said, in the closest thing he could responsibly call approval. "You are quite alright... things needed to be said, this was a good talk." he smiled.
"Don't worry about how I'm feeling... just er, let me get some rest. And allow me to rest easy by not doing anything too crazy." he put his paws out, lying down good and proper, and resting his head and mane on his paws, eyes still open and facing Kabili. "Promise?

Kabili giggled. Simba sure had a way of saying things didn’t he? At least when it came to his kids. It just was funny to think about how he wanted him to learn what not to do from a honey badger with ADHD. “Don’t worry about it dad. I promise I’ll be careful.” He assured him. Knowing he’d probably worry anyway. “And yeah, I guess some things did need to be said, huh?”
Anything too crazy? So the mild amount of crazy was good? Got it he figured. Giving a thumbs up, he then added with a cheeky grin. “Go ahead and get your cat nap old man,” he teased. “I’ll be back before dinner I promise.”
